Digg.com is building a platform to enable social curation of the world\'s content and the conversation around it. We need world-class engineering leadership to help us on our mission.

Responsibilities

* Manage 12-15 developers in 4-5 agile teams

*

Help define and build high-performance, high-availability web infrastructure

* Recruit and develop new teams

* Work with product, business, design, quality and R&D teams

* Create and contribute to open source projects while you work on high traffic and scalability problems

Qualifications

* Demonstrated capacity for developing and understanding strategy

* Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative fast paced environment

* Outstanding organizational and analytical skills

* Previous management experience in test-driven agile environments (XP/Scrum)

* Strong technical background and experience with open source web architectures

* Solid understanding of scalable and performant web architectures.

* Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or similar/relevant field preferred

* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
